Based in historic Suffolk, England, Anthony Moorhouse studied fashion design at college and worked fora number of years in the fashion industry as well as in couture millinary. His fervour for historical costumes grew out of that. He specializes in Medieval, Tudor and Elizabethan clothing from shirts and shifts to full court dress, as well as historically inspired wedding dresses. Each item is individually hand made to your specifications and can be made either with no visible machine stitching,  or totally hand stitched. Garments are put together after researching existing items, paintings, books and documents.

Only the best materials are used and where possible these are representative of contemporary fabrics.

We make for re-enactors, theatre, film, television and museums, though you can just order for yourself if you see something lovely. (Some people use the Elizabethan Bodies (corset) for evening and club wear.)
